Job Title – Service Phone/Onsite technician
Classification: exempt
Salary: $55-60K
Reports to: Service Manager
Summary:
Industry leading, 40-year-old Buffalo Area arcade game manufacturing company seeks candidate for our service department which receives customer service calls globally for technical and mechanical phone support.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Receive incoming calls and emails from customers
· Provide technical support for Arcade Equipment
· Advise game setup and operations to customers
· Advise programming options for games
· Advise them on power requirement and game dimensions
· Recommend parts needed to support our games
· Follow through and resolve customer complaints on games
· Ability to operator phone system.
· Investigate and interact with various teammates to solve customer issues
· Ability to recognize frequent patterns of repetitive service issues and bring to supervisor’s attention
· Ability to comprehend board level operations: understanding of various circuitry and digital logic designs
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
· Must be organized, proactive, have attention to details, and ability to multitask
· Possess technical aptitude to analyze the customers’ issue in a logical way.
· Must be able to understand schematics
· Able to operate phone system with extensions
· Desire to share, learn and grow your body of knowledge
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Good written and oral communication skills.
· Must have patience and be able to resolve disgruntled customers’ technical and mechanical issues in a professional manner
· Must be an active listener to understand customers’ needs
Educational and Experience:
- Associates degree in Electronics Technology or Equivalent a must
- Bachelors preferred
- At least two years’ experience in electronics, troubleshooting and service
- At least two years of technical field experience needed
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (5-15% travel)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking base on daily duties
- Possibility of limited travel with advance notice
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
