SUMMARY OF POSITION
An Airport Lobby Customer Service Supervisor oversees and directs que line staff to create an efficient flow of passengers inside of the terminal lobby. The supervisor is responsible for training, coaching, scheduling functions and supervising staff on duty. They work directly with TSA and leadership to ensure balanced lines at all checkpoints. Supervisors enforce all company and regulatory policies and promote a safe and pleasant customer experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in directing passengers to most efficient checkpoint
Coordinating staff in the appropriate locations to maintain balanced wait times
Deliver new hire training
Employee coaching and development
Instructing staff to open and close queue stanchions as operationally necessary
Assisting passengers with general airport questions
Addressing and communicating to crowded lobby to convey necessary information
Help keep lines separated and organized as they overflow from the queues
Assisting with queue reconfigurations as daily needs require
Assist HR and Managers with time and attendance duties
Identify and report any abnormal operational complexities
Enforcing company attendance/tardiness standards
Promotes a safety-first mentality and safety reporting
Able to perform under pressure and with large crowds of people
Follow and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
Ability to pass a criminal history background check
Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
Ability to work in both team-oriented environment and individually
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while working
Previous customer service experience
