Title 1 Intervention Specialist
Innovative Scholars is seeking talented, passionate educators who possess the instructional skills needed to enable accelerated academic growth and achievement in Title I student performance in reading and math. Our team is searching for Intervention Specialists who possess the following qualities :
1. Patience: Intervention teachers work with students who may be struggling with specific skills or concepts, and it can take time for them to understand and master the material. A successful intervention teacher should have the patience to work with students at their own pace, provide ample opportunities for practice and review, and celebrate their progress along the way.
2. Flexibility: Successful intervention teachers should be able to adapt their teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of individual students. They should be able to modify their lessons based on students' learning styles, interests, and abilities, and be willing to try new approaches if a particular strategy is not working.
3. Strong communication skills: Intervention teachers often work with students who are struggling in school and may have low self-esteem or negative attitudes toward learning. A successful intervention teacher should be able to communicate with students in a supportive and encouraging manner, building their confidence and motivation to learn.
4. Knowledge of effective instructional strategies: Successful intervention teachers should have a strong understanding of effective instructional strategies for teaching specific skills and concepts. They should be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students, and use evidence-based practices to guide their teaching.
5. Collaborative mindset: Successful Intervention Specialists should be able to work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and community members to support students' academic and social-emotional needs. They should be able to build positive relationships with colleagues and families, and seek out resources and support as needed to help their students succeed.

8. Our Intervention Specialists must be able to complete all administrative responsibilities required by Title 1 and Innovative Scholars (i.e., lesson plans, two-way communication plans, quarterly progress reports, etc.) in a timely manner
9. Our Intervention Specialists must attend mandatory professional development and coaching sessions.
