Job Description:
One of our Global Fintech clients recently went through a massive companywide separation and so they need to “re-build out” their Global Payroll Tax division. This role will be focused on managing the payroll taxes for the US & Canada internal employees. Requirements:
• 6 years of experience managing the payroll taxes for an Enterprise company (higher resolutions, filing taxes, corrections, & adjustments)
• Experience using ADP Tax services or OSV (OneSource Virtual) tax service
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State guidelines as well as processing adjustments and handling registrations
• Strong understanding of US Payroll Tax systems
o i.e. – Adjust a 941, make adjustments to W2’s at the end of the year (prior quarter adjustments), understand & balance wadges & taxes, complete reconciliation, understand SUI processes, abatement process, stock or retirement adjustments
• Extensive experience with Excel – (i.e. Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, & pay close attention to detail
Nice to have:
• Payroll background
• Accounting, Finance, Taxation degree
• Workday Payroll experience
Responsibilities:
• Work independently to handle all Payroll Tax reconciliations for US & Canada employees
• Work with payroll & tax vendors to handle reconciliations regarding payroll tax issues
• Effectively manage the resolution of assigned employee cases within defined SLAs.
• Adjust 941 & W2’s forms, understand and balance wadges & taxes, handle SUI processes & abatement processes
• Adheres to established policy and procedures
