The Perioperative Services Team at Inova Loudoun Hospital support 8 Operating Rooms, 1 Procedure Room and 2 Endoscopy Suites. Our facility features 16 private Pre-Op rooms and 14 PACU bays where our patients are prepared for surgery and recover post operatively. We are a growing community hospital offering surgical services in: Trauma, General, Breast, Colon-Rectal, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurosurgery, ENT, Vascular, Thoracic, Maxillofacial and Plastic.
Job Summary:
As an Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable/caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care. Ensuring all patient care activities and interactions are patient and family centered by integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required. Your ability to use an integrated approach toward achieving desired patient outcomes while serving as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment and successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality, through relationships and access-based knowledge, is essential.
Job Requirements:
- One year of Operating Room nursing experience is required.
- BSN or ADN Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN, complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from American Heart Association (AHA).
