Position: Press Assistant - Helper

Reports to: Production Mgr.- Operations Mgr.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Must Read Work Orders or Receive Verbal instructions to assure that you are accurately setting up

and converting an order.

• Read all instructions and communicate with the press operator to determine proper set up and

cleanup procedures are being followed.

• Perform roll changes in a safe and efficient manner. Verify material for accurate specifications

• Efficiently perform clean ups at the end of each run, clean anilox;s , ink pans , doctor blade holders in

thorough manner.

• Assist press operator with any other required steps of the set up or converting process, this might

require stacking, boxing and cleaning.

• Data entry must be completed in an accurate and consistent manner.

• Maintain good housekeeping of the entire work area, this includes proper care and handling of all

tooling, anilox’s and print cylinders.

• Develop the skills that would allow you to stand in for the press operator during lunch and breaks.

• Maintain Press Side supply levels - replenish daily to assure sufficient qty’s are available.

 

 

 

Key Requirements:

 

• Basic Math Skills and the ability to read a ruler

• Must be able to view and match color.

• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be detailed oriented

• Willing to wear PPE when required

• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

• Good communication skills

• Work well with others, become a team player

• Other duties as assigned
