Title: AE (Application Engineer)
Duration: 1 year contract (rolling)
Location: Austin, Texas
Travel: 15% to customer sites (in Austin area)
Must Haves:
- 2-10 years minimum on Advantest V93000 ATE (Automated Test Equipment)
- Proficient in analog and digital (A --> D) ATE testing techniques
- Proficient in the Linux (UNIX) operating system.
- Proficient in C , Java, object oriented language programming
- Perl or Python scripting experience
- Comfortable presenting in front of customer senior management
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Day to Day Summarized: Their job is to work very closely with the client/customer to really understand their issues that they might be experiencing with the Advantest ATE system. The Application Engineer’s job is to re-create the issue and test out different solutions. Then present those solutions to the customer. Another aspect of their job is to understand the customers forecast and relay that to the Research & Development Future Planning team.
