nsight Global is seeking a Remote Mental Health Care Advocate to join their team in the Maryland area. This person will be handling inbound calls from Emergency Departments across the state with providers seeking authorization for Mental Health services for patients actively in the respective Emergency Department. When not receiving inbound calls, this individual will be working through authorizations from the provider queue. Candidates must be comfortable with heavy over the phone support for a majority of each shift. All candidates must have a master’s degree in a relevant field, hold an active LCPC or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland and have experience with the utilization review/authorization of services from a payer perspective.
Must Haves
- Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling
- Holds an active LCPC OR LCSW-C in the State of Maryland
- 2 years of experience in mental health as a counselor, therapist or relevant mental health professional
- Experience with utilization review of cases
- Comfortable working and communicating with providers in inpatient emergency departments
Plusses
- Direct practice experience in the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System
- Knowledge of public resources throughout Maryland
- Experience with Medicaid populations and/or those who are dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders
- Managed Care experience and/or experience working in an environment that required coordinating benefits and utilizing multiple groups and resources for patients
- Bilingual Spanish
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $31.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
