What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter position at Insight Global?
Must Haves:
- AutoCAD experience
- Can be any background: Mechanical, electrical, architectural
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to work from Engineering rough sketches
- Ability to read redlines
- Soft skills: Excellent communication (both written and verbal), reliability, ability to take direction and then work independently
Plus:
- MicroStation experience (CAD software)
- Extensive Excel experience
Day to day:
A client of Insight Global is looking for a CAD Drafter to sit in Germantown, MD. This person will be starting on a part-time basis and working towards a full-time basis over the next 3-4 weeks. They will also be sitting fully onsite, but overtime will have remote flexibility. Their responsibility will be to take mark-ups from Engineers and add them to designs for low-voltage, electrical, security systems. They will be utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation, which the team is willing to train them on if they are unfamiliar. Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
