What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Insight Global?
Must Haves:
- 2 years of experience as a Machinist, CNC Programmer, or Manual Machinist
- Experience running horizontal and vertical machines.
- Use fork trucks, cranes, and other mobile equipment
- Knowledge of metal removal processes
Plusses:
- Overhead crane operator experience (how they unload and load CNC machines)
- Associates or technical degree in machining or welding
- Experience machining stainless steel
- Programming experience with Mastercam
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate the large CNC Horizontal Boring Mills with 5th Axis and any other CNC machining equipment. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: tool assembly, load all tool-offsets into the tool offset register, pre-set tools to the proper protrusion and placed into tool changers. They will be primarily working on parts related to the pulp and paper industry. There are no specific industry backgrounds that this person must come from, but it is important that the candidate is not from a union position. This candidate will be working individually on the 2nd shift, they will train on the 1st shift then permanently switch to night shift. Pulp and mill related parts, will be working 5-10% overtime, must be a self-motivated, team player, with a good temperament.
Salary : $18 - $24
