Overview
One of Insight Global's top manufacturing clients in the Greater Portland area is looking to hire a Manufacturing Cost Accountant. This role requires previous experience in the manufacturing/production industry and has plenty of opportunity for growth with competitive benefits. As of now, this position will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
Day to Day
- Prepare and maintain cost data for Bill of Materials (BOMs), which includes material, labor, and overhead.
- Support Inventory Management with management of inventory.
- Reconcile Price Variances and book entries as required.
- Prepare reports on excess and obsolete inventory and analyze the data for accuracy.
- Prepare month-end cost accounting journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Generate monthly KPI reporting around inventory and costing.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance.
- Experience in production/manufacturing.
- 3 years of cost accounting experience.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Strong technical skills, including strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, financial formulas, macros, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
