Position Summary:
The Data science Analyst for Digital Architecture will be a part of the Digital Capacity (Hardware/Software) Planning Team and will be responsible for analyzing data and incorporate programming techniques to automate the Capacity & Forecast Models by using Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Language(AI/ML) concepts, tools and techniques. Needs cloud computing knowledge to review the existing Cloud capacity on GCP/AWS/Azure and prepare cloud usage forecast analysis. Review and maintain the existing Capacity forecast models and automated scripts. Has strong programming skills, good team player, positive attitude in accepting challenges and collaborate with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business problems to applicable data science problems
- Prepare data for the analysis, create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data and perform feature engineering
- Develop machine learning, statistical or optimization models considering the latest development in research and tech community, programming/scripting with Python & R to automate the modelling process, data management using SQL
- Work with business, product, architecture and engineering partners to design Data Models, analysis and provide solutions
Essential Qualifications:
- Majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent major/equivalent work experience with Statistical background.
- Achieved a minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of Project/program work experience with Data Science concepts, AI/ML using Python/R/Jupyter/Anaconda
- 1-2 years of Project/program work experience with Cloud engineering/architecture with Google cloud, AWS/Azure.
- 1-2 years of Project/program work experience of computer programming languages Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Unix/Linux, PyCharm, Django, R Studio, Pandas & Scikit libraries
- Project/program work experience using RDBMS (Oracle, Maria DB), MySQL, MongoDB No SQL
- Knowledgeable in basic technology concepts of Software/Hardware Capacity Planning, Forecasting and statistical analysis, Time series forecasting and Building & Deploying AI/ML models using algorithms such as Linear Regression, Polynomial Regression, Logistic Regression etc.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing with AWS/GCP/Azure, API calls to get metrics/usage analysis
- Knowledge of Big Data/ Data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of Application Monitoring Tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, mPulse, Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with MS Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint & Teams.
- Passion for digital solutions and empathy to continuously improve the customer experience.
- Held prior internship, co-op, or other team-based project/program work experience with Data Sciences, AI/ML in relevant areas: Retail, Health Care, Software Development, or Digital.
- Strong programing skills using Python/JavaScript/Java
- Strong research, analytical, written communication, and oral presentation skills.
- Strong statistical background and ability to incorporate them based on the business needs
- Well organized and able to work under pressure and prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships across diverse teams.
- Adaptability and flexibility for a dynamic work environment.
- Experienced in collaboration tools like Rally, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, Miro, SharePoint.
- Knowledge of healthcare related domains
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of data science experience (project/internship/program experience) in business setting including collaborating with business partners to understand problems, programming/scripting with Python & R, gather business requirements, design data science models and communicate results and insights back to business partners
- 1-2 years of Cloud architecture experience (project/internship/program experience) in analyzing the Cloud instances, cloud computing, usage analysis, sizing, auto scaling and cost analysis of forecast vs. actuals.
- Data management, building SQL queries and productionalize statistical models with best practices
- Applying machine learning libraries to address real world data science problems
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Master’s degree or PhD preferred
