Location: Farmington Hills, MI - hybrid

Pay Rate: $75-85k
Travel: 10-20% travel domestic and international (all expensed company card)
Must Haves:
- 1-5 years of professional Design Engineering experience in the automotive industry
- Automotive doors knowledge (closures, doors, windows, sealing, locks, electronic components)
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- Prior use of NX CAD
- Basic knowledge of GD&T
Day to Day:
We are looking for a Door System Design Engineer for a large automotive client in Farmington Hills, MI. Job functions include but are not limited to:
- Daily use of NX CAD to study and make design, present proposals and release the new or improved designs
- Warranty reduction using root cause analysis techniques
- Variation and tolerance analysis at both component and system level
- Make presentations of ideas and studies to upper management
- Manage suppliers to develop parts, meet cost, timing and quality targets
- Manage cost and weight of assigned parts to meet or exceed targets
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
