Title: DoD System Engineer
Location: Warren, MI (onsite 2 days a week)
Duration: 9-month contract to hire
Salary upon conversion: 155k max (dependent on years of experience to match labor categories)
Must be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance

Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a DoD System Engineer to join one of our largest defense clients onsite out of Warren, MI in a hybrid role that will be onsite 2 days a week. This person will be responsible for developing architecture and strategies for the implementation of tactical communication systems on ground combat vehicles. They will assist in end-to-end program integration of communication networks throughout documentation, which includes testing and certification, safety confirmation, test, kit procurement, and integration. This person will also work cross functionally with various project management offices to evaluate program acquisition schedules, integration costs, and other requirements across network development.
Other responsibilities include:
- Conduct statement of works for vehicle system integration efforts
- Developer network architectures for future network capability sets
- Develop and present status briefs to PMO offices
Must Haves:
- 5 years of work experience within vehicle network architecture / system engineering
- Strong experience with documentation in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and DoDAF
- Background within C4ISR, C5ISR, tactical networks, and/or vehicles
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
