Epic Hospital Billing Analyst

Job Description

A leading hospital system sitting out of Long Island, NY is seeking an Epic Hospital Billing Analyst to join their team.

This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance hospital billing functionality, particularly in the areas of claims management and charge routing.

This person should be an expert in Epic Systems, and ensure that there is accurate billing, compliance and efficient revenue capture.

Some of the daily responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to analyze, design, and implement enhancements related to hospital billing processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Epic charge router and fee schedule configuration.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless system integration and accurate claim submission.
• Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and industry standards related to billing practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of experience working within Hospital Billing
• Epic certification in Hospital Billing (HB) and experience with charge router configuration.
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes and healthcare workflows.
• Familiarity with claims management and charge review.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
