Job Description
A client is looking to add several Fluid Mechanical Design Analysts to joint their team. In this role you will be responsible doing direct analysis support for the fluid system designers. They have over 200 tube designs that need to be completed within the next couple of months and an additional workload beyond that first sprint. You will be doing strength testing for fluid lines and fuel tanks for rockets and jets.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of Mechanical Analysis experience Experience with analysis of fluid design systems and tubes that carry fluids
- 2 years of experience in the prediction/validation of low or high-frequency structural dynamics and loads
- Aerospace experience (spacecraft, aircraft, launch vehicles, or automotive)
- Experience with finite element modeling NASTRAN, Ansys, abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct experience
- Ability to do hand calculations and use physics based analytical methods to solve dynamic structural problems
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering (experience can be used in lieu of the degree)
- Strong communication and professionalism
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting launch vehicles or hypersonic engines
- COPV Pressure Vessel design and analysis
- Metallic Pressure Vessel design and analysis
- CREO experience or ProEngineer Wildfire 4 experience
- Composite design and analysis skills in any thermoset, thermoplastic, metal matrix, and ceramic matrix components
