What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Specialist position at Insight Global?
One of our large healthcare systems in Allentown PA is looking for a Imaging Specialist to join their biomedical engineering team. This person will be responsible for managing multiple projects such as medical equipment specification gathering, ordering of equipment, and installation of equipment over several sites. They will have to provide advanced levels of equipment and or departmental service and support and perform preventive maintenance and quality assurance inspections, in addition to smaller installations
On a monthly basis they will have a workload of preventative maintenance that needs to be completed from a list that comes through their system and they need to schedule with the department on when they can get to that piece of equipment and work on it
Will handle installation of equipment 5-10% time doing the installation - might be a new piece of portable equipment / that just inventory and check out to get to user - not participating in large installs (ex: x-ray room - that is done by manufacturer)
Involvement would be minimal / interact with manufacture to get system put on to network and ready to use
Desired Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years Progressive experience in performing direct component level repair and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the medical imaging field
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote hospital sites and to periodically conform to a flexible work schedule on an as-needed basis.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic equipment, quality assurance procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Covid-19 vaxxed
Pluses:
CRES certification (certified radiology equipment specialist)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year
