Insurance Verification Specialist - Chemotherapy

Location: Trenton, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 or 7:30 AM - 4 PM
Specialty: Oncology/Chemotherapy

The Chemotherapy Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for obtaining authorizations to administer chemotherapy and therapeutic injections. They will work 1-2 weeks ahead of time, and will start working on the order once the doctor puts it in 1 week out. They will work with the nurse navigator for any clinical questions. Obtain authorizations to administer chemotherapy and therapeutic injections. They will review the patients health care benefits to ensure they cover for chemotherapy. They start working on the order once the doctor puts it in (typically 1 week out). The specialist will work with the nurse navigator for any clinical questions and process paperwork accordingly upon coordinating with the patients and attending providers and nurse navigators.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
