What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Install Technician position at Insight Global?
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving customer loyalty, quality, and overall satisfaction by servicing, programming, configuring, dismantling, reconstructing, converting, and trouble-shooting existing security and site automation solutions including, but not limited to, fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ experience within a technical customer support role (installation, service, cable, or any residential service)
- Current valid State Driver's License
- Ability to work under general supervision and independently at various commercial sites on a daily basis
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Suite (intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook), mostly for documentation and scheduling
- Highly proficient with an Android/Apple devices
DESIRED SKILLS
- Hands-on experience with installation, repair, troubleshooting or set up of device
o Other devices: Network/WiFi in small homes, wires/cabling in residential locations (CAT5, CAT6, etc.), phones, tablets, ATMs, printers, etc.
- Some technical school training
- Prior experience with providing services to electrical systems
