JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Network Admin for one of our retail clients for a contract to hire opportunity in New York City. This person will be onsite 5 days a week. They will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise level network infrastructure, including WiFi. This position requires broad level datacenter infrastructure support as well as maintenance and refresh of critical production equipment, while ensuring appropriate alignment and adherence to established SDLC processes. Their day to day with consist of maintaining the network infrastructure hardware by evaluating required software/firmware patches, performing required upgrades or replacements, analyzing network performance, reacting to deviations in that performance, and assisting in the resolution of business wide network issues. A strong knowledge of network protocols, enterprise level WAN, LAN, Wireless, and IPT Telephony is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience as a Network Admin
- Experience with WAN Routing Protocols, LAN Switching, SNMP, IOS, Layer 1-3 Troubleshooting, and TCP/IP
- Experience troubleshooting wireless in a corporate infrastructure
- Background with data center operations and SDLC processes
