What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Insight Global?
Day–to–Day:
Insight Global is hiring for an Area Manager at a large chemical manufacturing plant in the Riceboro, GA area. In this role, you will be responsible for all operational aspects of your assigned area and production lines within, including measuring and meeting safety metrics, ensuring inventory is consumed effectively, creating strategic plans for the building(s) in your area, and managing overtime. You will be responsible for the development of the foremen and supervisors within your group (50-100 people in total) to ensure alignment on Plant Manager goals and individual success/development. This role will require both high level oversight and hands-on development of the assigned area on the site. The salary range for this role is $140-160k, based on experience. Relocation package available.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience managing 30-50 people, indirectly & directly
- Leading employee success/development
- Inventory management
- Experience w/ OSHA PSM
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience collaborating with other group leaders to ensure site success
Preferred:
- Experience with hazardous chemicals
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
