What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrub Technician position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is looking to bring on a Scrub Tech to their client's team in the St. Louis area! Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, can multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies, and can work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. This facility is a multispecialty facility, Plastics, General Surgery, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Spine, Total Joints, and Urology. This facility has 4 ORs and 2 treatment rooms that run full time 5 days a week.
Required Skills and Experience
1 year of experience as a Scrub Tech
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Completion of a Scrub Tech Program
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
Ambulatory surgery experience
Certified Scrub Tech
