5-10 years of experience in the field
2D and 3D modeling understanding
Ability to understand and read functional design drawings and revisions.
Shipbuilding/Maritime background
Software (must haves)
AutoCAD
Ship-constructor.
Plusses
Electrical background working with cable and wire ways.
Ability to problem solve for technical issues.
Background/Education
Associate degree preferred (Engineering related degree)
Day to day:
This person will be sitting on the electrical functional detail design group.
They will be outfitting the electrical components.
Receive engineering change notices and start working on them.
Turn functional design drawings to create a detailed design drawing.
Understand 2D layouts and turn those into 3D models.
Pass these layouts and designs to the production team for them to start building the ships.
