This role manages daily operational functions of payroll department and one or more Payroll Administrators. Ensures all payrolls are processed accurately and timely in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Interfaces daily will all levels of management and employees as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate processing of all timesheet input.
- Responsible for year-end W-2 processing, accurate tax reporting and compliance with FLSA, DOL and other government mandated policies and procedures.
- May process executive bonuses including adjustments.
- Audit payrolls for accuracy and verify output.
- Supervise G/L and 401(k) reporting as required.
- Prepares month-end reporting.
- Calculates monthly accrual for bi-weekly payrolls.
- Prepares and calculates various reports for management as requested.
- May adjust payrolls for cash and non-cash spiffs, awards or stock options exercised.
- Ensure communication and resolution of all employee pay questions in timely manner.
- Runs system database utilities and annual record purging processes. Updates tables, Works with ADP with other system processing problems.
- Communicate with payroll processing bureau on all payroll related issues as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years' experience in heavy volume payroll department with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory position.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and/or boards of directors.

The base salary range for this position is typically $70,000 to $85,000 with additional bonus and benefits available.However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, andwe will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
