What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMP - Supply Chain Coordinator position at Insomnia Cookies?

As we grow our company and community of Insomniacs, we actively adding a skilled TEMPORARY Supply Chain Coordinator to our Supply Chain dept! Based out of our office in Center City Philadelphia, and reporting to the VP of Cookievation, this high-impact role will participate in the creation/implementation of globally aligned demand and supply planning process improvements and focus on identifying and improving SC process breakdowns/inefficiencies.
This position will run from the end of September through early 2025.
\n- Reduce excess and obsolete inventory based on KPI’s
- Identify process breakdowns and inefficiencies and oversee the creation and implementation of globally aligned demand and supply planning process improvements
- Improve inventory in stock positions based on established KPI’s
- Improve inventory turns by category
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Successfully communicate forecast and Inventory estimations to cross-functional team
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to create alignment on approach and implications of analyses
- Deliver updates and reporting on a regular cadence to track performance against departmental and company goals
- Utilize available business intelligence tools and reporting dashboards to source and validate inputs for modelling and analysis, as well as find opportunities to enhance research and data resources
- Analyze inventory flow to minimize outs
- Review and develop forecasting models
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain focus desirable)
- 1 year of Supply Chain Management Experience within food distribution or consumer packaged goods
- Experience in planning and replenishment flows.
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification is a plus
- Solid technical software experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access and ERP systems.
