What are the responsibilities and job description for the CREDENTIALING ASSISTANT position at Inspira Health Network?
MAJOR FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting credentialing coordinator in monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and reappointment process ensuring compliance with payor policy. Maintains an up-to-date database of physician information with ongoing tracking of expirations. Proactively completes requests for updated licenses, DEA’s, CDS’s and Medical Malpractices. Participates in departmental/committee meetings including attending and taking minutes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
B. Experience: Three years’ experience in a Medical Office preferred. Understanding of the credentialing and reprocesses. Meeting management experience and minute taking. Must possess excellent skills in word processing and database management, effective written and oral communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple priorities to meet constant deadlines and work independently while displaying knowledge of commonly used credentialing concepts, practices and procedures. Must be detail oriented, and highly self-motivated.
