The region’s leading network of healthcare providers, Inspira Health is seeking a Lab Assistant I to join our team. You will support the needs of various departments while adhering to our Mission and Values. This position requires a Sunday through Saturday schedule. We will rely on you to:
- Provide phlebotomy service to in-house patients, outpatients, as well as patients at off-site locations
- Perform venipuncture and capillary procedures on patient populations ranging from neonate to geriatric
- Complete patient identification and specimen transports in accordance with laboratory standards
- Complete various clerical duties, including the entering of patient’s orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of approved Phlebotomy Training School
- Phlebotomy and hospital experience preferred
- ASCP, NPA or equivalent certification or eligibility preferred
