Tax Manager

We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for the income tax compliance, planning, and accounting for the income taxes across all business entities.

What you'll be doing:

• Research and support strategic tax initiatives and will also focus on implementing technology and efficient processes to streamline tax compliance, audit and provision reporting processes
• Assist with the annual tax compliance process
• Prepare tax working papers, tax analyses and gather of information for partnership and corporate income tax returns and facilitate the process with external advisors
• Prepare state and local tax filings for disregarded entities and other tax forms
• Prepare quarterly tax installment calculations and coordinate payments to tax authorities
• Refine and improve data collection processes supporting tax returns
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of tax basis information
• Contribute to research and preparation of technical memos in support of technical positions taken in the financial statements and statutory filings
• Prepare responses to notices received from tax authorities to resolve any disputed issues
• Tax Reporting - Assist with the preparation of tax provisions and tax disclosures for external financial statement purposes
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax accounting obligations
• Create templates, as necessary, to facilitate gathering of tax information from entities

What you'll bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting from four-year college or university; and minimum of five years related experience and/or training
• 8 years experience preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for multiple partnerships and trusts for multiple funds in a leadership capacity
• Technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge and experience (US GAAP) and strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and high level of accuracy is essential.
• Thorough understanding of computerized management information systems, business principals and use of current standard PC software tools.
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment
