We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and a passion for inspiring students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through coding and technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum.
- Teach a range of computer science courses.
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to engage students and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning and provide hands-on experiences with current tools and software.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and support school-wide initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in computer science education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Sponsor and support extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or robotics teams, to further student engagement in computer science.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom expectations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Proven experience teaching computer science or related subjects at school level.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, staff, and parents.
