This Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Avaya communications solutions for a federal government entity. This position will mostly be remote except for occasionally supporting a local data center (candidates must be local to Raleigh-Durham, NC).

Job Description:
Inspyr Solutions is seeking a Voice Engineer for one of its premier clients in Durham, NC. This Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Avaya communications solutions for a federal government entity. This position will mostly be remote except for occasionally supporting a local data center (candidates must be local to Raleigh-Durham, NC).
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of an Avaya Communications Solution including CS1K, Session Manager, System Manager, Avaya Messaging,
- Provide Tier 3 support for implementation, incident resolution, daily maintenance routines, patching, and upgrades.
- Interacting with customer representatives to gather information and provide status updates.
- Interacting with Tier 4 engineers for escalation.
- Ticket updates
- Process documentation
- 3 years’ experience supporting Avaya Aura solution components.
- Avaya System/Session Manager, CS1K, Communication Manager (CM), SIP/DS3s/PRI, NetIQ, Checkpoint Firewalls, and data switches
- 5 years’ experience in VoIP and SIP technologies
- 3 years’ experience with NetIQ monitoring solution
- 3 years’ experience with Operating systems, Linux, and Windows
- Experience with Avaya Contact Center a plus
- Experience with ticketing systems such as CAPRS and Remedy
- Experience working with a government agency is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- A bachelor’s degree or Avaya certifications
- Excellent communications skills
- Proficient in the use of desktop applications and collaboration tools
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Level 1 clearance.
- Knowledgeable in solution security, component certificates, single sign-on, DHCP, AD
