Part Time AP Specialist
Job Posting for Part Time AP Specialist at Institute of Nuclear Power Operations
- Monitor internal accounts payable inbox and work with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate coding, routing and approval
- Assist with preparation and receipt of internal purchase orders
- Process approved vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for payment, via check or ACH, on a periodic basis
- Actively manage payment due dates and communicate with vendors proactively to ensure alignment
- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to obtain proper documentation to set-up new vendors in accounting software and/or resolve any payment issues
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Communicate information in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders
- Effectively manage tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as in teams/groups
- Build trust and rapport with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance influence
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least three years of work experience in accounts payable as part of a finance and accounting team
- Experience with NetSuite Accounting Software
Work Context
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Works under minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
