Description
InstroTek is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team as we innovate in the field of material testing. As a key member of the R&D team, you will collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement innovative software for equipment used in the lab and field. Ideal candidates will have experience in developing web applications for robotics and computer vision based automation.
Your background and expertise will be instrumental in developing intuitive web-based interfaces and cutting-edge automation. Your skills in a web framework such as Angular, React, or Vue and computer vision models such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV or YOLO v8 will help us develop pioneering user experiences and automation. A degree in Computer Science, Physics or Engineering are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to automat material testing labs
- Overseeing commuter vision based automation
- Overseeing development of initial prototype
- Assisting in the mechanical design robotic automation
- Safety integration and space planning for robotics operations
Requirements
Qualifications- Understanding of palletizing, pick and place and machine tending operations
- Experience with system architecture or leading a team is a plus
- Knowledge of building smooth UI experiences
- Proficiency with Angular, React, or Vue and computer vision models such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV or YOLO v8
- 2-3 years developing web applications for robotics
- A degree in Computer Science, Physics or Engineering are preferred.
