Job Summary:
Compensation: $24.11 - $30.10 / hour (DOQ)
As a Service Center Technician at IDI, you will utilize your troubleshooting, mechanical, and customer service skills to help attract and grow new business in the ever growing spray foam insulation industry. In this role, you will have an exciting and unique opportunity to learn about our customers’ needs and how to keep their equipment up and running, while learning about new repair and service techniques.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform troubleshooting to properly diagnose problems, and identify parts and services, using verbal, audiovisual, written, and in-person communication
- Estimate services and repairs including parts and labor pricing, and lead times
- Manage a service and repair schedule to ensure deadlines are met
- Perform and process warranty work, as well as QC processes for completed services and repairs
- Evaluate and request service related inventory when needed
- Complete required documentation for all service and repairs
- Establish clear expectations with updates through detailed communication with customers and sales personnel
- Protect and secure IDI and customer owned inventory
- Carry out guided and self-guided training to develop troubleshooting, service and repair, and customer service skills and techniques
- Replicate standard branch policies and safety procedures within the service center
- Communicate new customer opportunities to sales personnel using CRM and other communication methods

Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of electricity, fluid dynamics, pumping systems, hydraulics, gas & diesel engines, and pneumatics preferred
- Exhibit strong customer service skills
- Proficient planning, time management and organizational skills
- Shows competence with the Microsoft office suite, and willing to learn additional skills independently as needed
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel no more than 15%
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required, 1 year in a mechanical field
- 1 year in a customer service environment
- SAP experience preferred
- Spray foam equipment repair experience preferred
