What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mitigation Project Manager position at Insurcomm?

Purpose: To oversee the planning and delivery of mitigation projects for families, companies and disaster victims, by ensuring that high quality work is completed on time and within budget, creating high productivity and efficiency to meet organization goals.

Summary: The Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for obtaining fire, water, wind, vandalism and other restoration projects, and is expected to handle $1,000,000 worth of projects on a yearly basis. They are also responsible for providing an accurate scope of work and writing an accurate estimate that will allow for profitable production of the project.

Duties:

  • Inspecting losses and determining an accurate scope of mitigation services and the associated cost.
  • Come to an agreed cost and scope of repairs with the insurance adjuster and or client.
  • What work is going to be done and what is not.
  • What the finished product will look like.
  • General scheduling information including a projected start date and proposed period of performance.
  • Completing jobs on time.
  • Obtain signed contracts and close sales on restoration related projects.
  • Relay the scope of work to the on-site technicians/ crew chief and be available by phone, in the event that they have any questions.
  • Assist with collections as necessary.
  • Complete budget for production as needed .
  • Daily requests to Project Coordinator by noon each day to help coordinate the efficient use of the restoration technicians.
  • Complete any change orders needed.
  • Complete supplemental billings and open item billings.
  • Efficient use of production employees .
  • Analyze profitability of project at completion to assess the accuracy of the estimate.
  • Maintain a minimum average of 72% profit margins on all projects.
  • Maintaining weekly estimates in progress list.
  • Assist in locating and recruiting new personnel.
  • Oversight of our Restoration Technicians which includes holding them accountable and ensuring that they are meeting company standards.
  • Responsible for quality control on all work completed.
  • Accurate tracking of equipment and materials used on jobs.
  • Pre-Planning jobs – Budgeting.
  • Follow company policy concerning job workflow procedures.
  • Follow company policy concerning daily documentation within PSA to include file notes detailing conversations with customers and adjusters.
  • Attend weekly update meetings with A/R Manager and report weekly billed and forecast for the following week.
  • Attend weekly management meetings.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching to mitigation staff.
  • Assist Division manager in training new and existing employees, so there is opportunity for advancement.
  • Oversee all production on assigned projects, including final walk through with a crew chief, to ensure quality control and completion of scope of all jobs completed.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to maintain IICRC water certification, and willingness to obtain additional industry related certifications to include but not limited to: Mold, Fire, OSHA, Biohazard, etc .
  • Willingness to participate in On-Call rotation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
