What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift position at inSync Staffing?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Loads and offloads freight from vehicles as needed from the station loading dock.
-Conduct verification of weights and dims for all shipments checking in and out of the station.
-Stages freight in the proper location for the movement requested by the customer.
-Performs all status dock checks required daily to verify what shipments are on the dock at the prescribed time.
-Work with the operations staff when dock checks or physical verification of freight being on hand is necessary.
-Verify all shipments tendered are packaged sufficiently for transit according to company requirements.
-Verifies outbound paperwork against the physical shipment address labels and places transportation labels on freight to ensure it is transported to the correct destination. Forklift movement and shrink wrapping of pallets.
-Performs scheduled preventive inspections on dock equipment. (Forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.)
-Monitors dock supplies and advise operations when more needs to be ordered.
-Monitors all dock activity to ensure all personnel are performing duties in a safe manner.
