The Analyst, OPSEC coordinates the execution of an annual OPSEC assessment for the Office of Secretary Defense, Special Capabilities Office (OSD/SCO).
- Organize and participate in OPSEC surveys of selected SCO program activities.
- Ensure that the overarching SCO OPSEC Plan is periodically monitored, in light of evolving SCO strategic priorities, and is updated, as required, to remain current.
- Exercise primary responsibility for the accountability, issue, destruction and/or turn in of all COMSEC material, key, and equipment. Prepares all COMSEC maintenance forms, logs, and reports pertaining to COMSEC material accountability.
- Develop and enforce established procedures, policies, and regulations for the protection of the COMSEC equipment, materials and aids. Ensures publications are current and amendments are properly and promptly entered. Takes necessary action to implement required changes in local procedures and coordinates related actions.
- Conduct COMSEC violation investigations, prepares reports of findings for proper authorities, and submits recommended action.
Required:
- Bachelors' Degree with 12 years' experience; waived in lieu of significant work experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of qualifying, related experience dedicated to S&T, RDT&E in support of unclassified, collateral, SAP, and SCI programs.
- Relevant experience includes basic information security requirements for collateral, SCI, and SAP information, personnel security processes and databases, and document control.
