SUMMARY of Duties

The Building Services Director (Maintenance Director) is responsible for directing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the property and its physical plant to maintain proper operations of the property.

Oversee the general operations of the maintenance department and housekeeping department to ensure that the property is maintained in a safe, clean and comfortable manner.

Duties include scheduling and supervising 1 full time Maintenance assistant and community housekeeping staff in accordance with company policy.

Work Experience Qualifications

Preferably two (2) years supervisory experience in Senior Living or similar multi-unit facilities. Duties include managing the upkeep, repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and structural matters.

This campus has three buildings : a 3-story independent living building, a 2 story Assisted living building, and a single-story Memory Care building.

Ability to explain work duties to staff. Ability to effectively interact with residents, families, employees, visitors, co-workers and government agencies.

Prefer work history to include managing a maintenance and housekeeping department's budget, spending, supply ordering, and performing good financial diligence.

Ability to perform manual tasks daily. Be able to perform physical requirements of the job. Good physical health verified by a health screening, drug screen, and we provide a state required TB test within seven (7) days after employment.

Educational Qualifications

A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
