Digital Media Forensics Analyst

Overview

Location: Ft. Gordon, GA.

Clearance: Current TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph (or ability to obtain a CI polygraph).

Responsibilities

As a Digital Media Forensic Analyst supporting CI/HUMINT operations you will:

• Provide support for CI and CT investigations; research, design, deploy, and lead training events; evaluate emerging forensic technologies; provide operational security assessments and support cyber forensic and cyber security tasks
• Perform all phases of the forensic examination of all forms of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, ensuring chain of custody is maintained and that applicable rules of evidence are adhered to
• Provide insight on the best practices to protect computers from infiltration, recover any lost files, and determine how a computer hacked
• Provide support for incident response activities, intrusion events, and malware analysis
• Conduct imaging and data extraction processes on a variety of media including hard drives, thumb drives, and memory cards
• Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops intelligence-based reporting
• Provide testing and evaluation of emerging trends in digital forensics software and hardware and assist in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures.

Qualifications

These minimum qualifications are part of your resume:

• Graduate of any of the following military intelligence certifying courses:
  • Army Officer – Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
  • Army – 35L Counterintelligence Agent course (or its predecessor)
  • Army – 35E Counterintelligence Course (or its predecessor)
  • Air Force –Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC), U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
  • Navy – Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB), Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor Bachelor's Degree or higher from a nationally accredited college or university.
• DoD Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE)
• Possess one of the following:
  • Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE)
  • GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)
  • EnCase Certified Examiner
• Have a minimum of 12 years’ experience with at least 5 years of mobile device forensics
