Job Description:
Tasks/ Responsibilities
· Server installation & maintenance (rack & stack, label, HDD, memory, CPU, RAID batteries,
NICs, etc.)
· Able to review design documentation & validate equipment deployment according to plans
· Network installation & maintenance (rack & stack, label, cabling, parts replacement, etc.)
· Site builds & refreshes, while meeting current quality standards
· Write, and maintain, detailed site reference documentation
· Interact with onsite staff and vendors for: hardware replacement, delivery, and/or diagnostics.
· Perform operational tasks associated with datacenter implementation, migration, deployments, cabling, rack and stack.
· Responsible for assisting with all projects and repairs throughout the datacenter.
· Participate in an on-call rotation and provide hands on coverage during maintenances.
· Excellent data center organization skills and meticulous attention to detail.
· Familiarity with fiber and copper network cabling including IP and SAN deployments.
· Responsible for maintaining acceptable ticket loads and incident SLAs.
· Maintain inventory of hardware, cables needed for the deployments.
- Able to Configure and perform remote OS installation of Linux images using PXE boot for servers.
· Administer and maintain Linux & Windows physical compute (OS: RHEL 6,7,8 & Ubuntu, Windows Server 2016, 2019)
- Major CR planning & assist on E-waste of decommissioned hardware.
· Configure and general maintenance of the Linux & Windows servers by configuring the CPU & DNS Hostnames, Static IP etc.
2-3 years Datacenter experienced is must.
