Business Process Support Specialist
Essential Job Functions:
The Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (C/GFS), requires the contractor to provide services in the Post Support Unit (PSU). PSU has high-visibility and very important responsibility in providing financial management services to include Vouchering, Time and Attendance, Accounting, Reconciliation, Financial Systems Analysis and Financial Reporting support services, to participating overseas missions that are in conflict and distressed areas. The business analyst position works on a team to provide systems analysis and support services with specific duties to be assigned by the Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support services for the PSU Team, e.g. assistance with time and attendance, reporting, new employee onboarding, meeting preparation, etc.
Serve as the system administrator for databases maintained at the post-level
Administer web-based system access, e.g. submit requests for new users and/or new roles, and in depth understanding of roles and associated permissions
Support Business Process Analysis team to synthesize additional capabilities for innovation and continuous improvement
Supports reports and reconciliation activities, financial systems analysis, or other functional requirements
Support Business Analysis team when working with staff to ensure functional understanding of system changes and testing
Assist Business Analysis team’s communications to PSU management and staff in advance of implementing new tools and/or procedures, as well as status updates, concerns, or issues.
Respond promptly and accurately to requests and inquiries from customers, following up on incoming communications
Strive to improve both internal and external customer satisfaction
Log issues, track resolutions, and fielding additional support as needed
Support CGFS ISO-9001 activities as needed

Experience with DoS financial systems used by Overseas posts, both internal and external systems
Knowledge of Federal accounting/financial management policies, reporting, practices, operations, and procedures
Demonstrated capability analyzing complex financial systems requirements, problems, and issues
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a four-year degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or a related field such as computer science or business administration.
Substitution: Related experience may be substituted for education requirement (e.g., 4 years of related experience substituted for a 4-year degree)
Work Schedule:
The employee will work an 8-hour shift typically between the hours of 6:15 am to 6:00 pm with a non-compensated 45-minute lunch (see your Project Manager for work schedule and department policies). Based upon implementation schedules, there may be some shift time adjustments. This is a hybrid?position with currently 4 days teleworking and a minimum of 1 day on-site (subject to change).
Additional hours may be required and must be authorized by your Project Manager and DoS Management, and often the work requires shifts outside of CGFS core hours to accommodate working with other time zones.
