Shifts available: Afternoons 3pm-11pm
We are looking for a dedicated direct care professionals to assist clients. Your duties will include performing housekeeping tasks, assisting clients with meals, and taking care of their personal hygiene needs. As a direct care worker, your duties will also include running errands.
To ensure success as a direct care worker, you should possess knowledge of the best practices available when providing care. An outstanding direct care worker will be someone who can be entrusted with the wellbeing of clients and one who demonstrates a caring and patient approach to those around them.
Can you do the following?
- Direct Care Workers work in an in-home and community setting, the position is responsible for providing a safe, secure, and healthy environment for an individual with developmental disabilities.
- Work on the individual's goals. Adhering to the person-centered plans, and behavior plans as written for each resident Setting positive examples for residents at all times. Complete all required documentation before the end of your shift.
- Direct Care Workers address basic health needs and work on ADL's with the residents. Provides opportunities throughout daily activities to help residents meet their goals.
- Transport the individual to outings in the community. The agency services a hundred plus children, adults, and seniors with developmental and cognitive impairments. These impairments range from autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, mental illness, and even emotional disorders.
- Providing quality care and a safe and healthy setting free from harm while upholding the rights of all residents. Protect all residents from abuse and/or neglect and immediately report any occurrence to appropriate entities. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all residents. Adhere to Integrated Living's Core Values, Mission Statement, and Corporate Philosophies.
