Title: Pharmacist
Location: Rhode Island- Multiple Locations
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: M-F 9am to 5pm EST (weekend support required)
Job Description:
- The pharmacist provides routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers.
- Management skills and accuracy are required to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer efficiently and safely.
- Meet/exceed site budgets.
- Leverage operating policies, procedures and processes to ensure operational excellence.
- Optimize cost management in line with script counts.
- In coordination with the General Manager, serve as primary owner for Band III accounts, and facility owner for Band I and II accounts in assigned geography.
- Drive organic growth and mitigate risk with existing customer relationships.
- Negotiate and finalize customer contracts in collaboration with appropriate regional leadership. Collaborate with Sales to drive deal closures and organic growth.
- Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Consultant Pharmacists and appropriate corporate functions to meet overall site goals and objectives.
- Evaluate the overall results of operations; regularly and systematically report the results to the GM and/or VPO.
- Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are executed in compliance with state and/or federal regulations and laws governing financial and pharmacy operations.
- Ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Customer Pharmacy Services policy and procedure manual.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Omnicare Long Term Care Pharmacy/Home Infusion Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual and internal pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the VPO, GM or Omnicare management.

- Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
Experience:
- Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met to perform the job at the required level).
- Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
- Proficient in clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions and allergies.
- Knowledgeable about long-term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws and other federal laws) that impact both pharmacy and Center operations preferred.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
