Job Title – Sr. Financial Analyst - Participations
Location – Hollywood, CA, (Hybrid Onsite on Thursdays and some Fridays as needed)
Duration – 6 Months
Responsibilities:
- Prepare participation calculations for Studio Finance team for inclusion in program ultimates.
- Track incoming participation statements, perform reviews, and compare with associated audit rights to determine the Studio’s position for possible audit engagement.
- Review legal agreements and participation statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist in cash planning and forecasting for long range participation and residual payments.
- Research and resolve guild and third-party audit settlements and legal proceedings related to Studio participations and residuals.
- Work in team environment on various high exposure FP&A projects for executive understanding and decision-making process.
- Must be able to work with and analyze large amounts of data.
- Partner with other groups to obtain relevant information for related participant analyses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting..
- Minimum of 2 years of Finance or Accounting experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
- MS suite experience with a strong concentration in Excel a must.
- Strong analytical and communication skills required.
Additional qualifications:
- Previous experience in Participation and Residuals preferred.
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives.
- Results - oriented with the ability to balance multiple assignments at a time in a fast – paced environment to achieve desired results.
- Able to build positive relationships with finance peers.
