Senior Financial Analyst

Job Title – Sr. Financial Analyst - Participations

Location – Hollywood, CA, (Hybrid Onsite on Thursdays and some Fridays as needed)

Duration – 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Prepare participation calculations for Studio Finance team for inclusion in program ultimates.
• Track incoming participation statements, perform reviews, and compare with associated audit rights to determine the Studio’s position for possible audit engagement.
• Review legal agreements and participation statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Assist in cash planning and forecasting for long range participation and residual payments.
• Research and resolve guild and third-party audit settlements and legal proceedings related to Studio participations and residuals.
• Work in team environment on various high exposure FP&A projects for executive understanding and decision-making process.
• Must be able to work with and analyze large amounts of data.
• Partner with other groups to obtain relevant information for related participant analyses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting..
• Minimum of 2 years of Finance or Accounting experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
• MS suite experience with a strong concentration in Excel a must.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.

Additional qualifications:

• Previous experience in Participation and Residuals preferred.
• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives.
• Results - oriented with the ability to balance multiple assignments at a time in a fast – paced environment to achieve desired results.
• Able to build positive relationships with finance peers.
