Job Title: Rail Yard Construction Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate construction activities within an active rail yard environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
2. Manage project timelines, budget, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret and implement project designs, ensuring alignment with rail yard operational requirements.
4. Supervise and lead on-site construction teams, providing guidance, support, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
5. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel involved in construction activities.
6. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to procure materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
7. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including rail operators, to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure project alignment with operational needs.
8. Implement and enforce project-specific quality control measures, conducting inspections and addressing issues to meet project specifications.
9. Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and change orders.
10. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks or challenges that may impact construction timelines or budgets.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in rail yard environments.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and regulations relevant to rail yard operations.
4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage on-site teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
5. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
7. Ability to adapt to dynamic working conditions and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
