Director, Marketing Events What you'll contribute:  Develop, implement, and lead the overall event strategy for industry and company-hosted events, including the conceptual and thematic framework for each event as well as post-event recaps and recommendations Management of budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing for corporate events Oversee project management of event programs and supervise cross-functional, event related programs and projects Manage invitation process and event execution, including coordinating event logistics and supporting the onsite and remote teams Scout venues, developing relationships and strategic partnerships Handle branded merchandise, including strategy, merchandise development, procurement, inventory management, and distribution Work with marketing operations team to create and regularly review reports and analyze marketing funnel success metrics as they relate to events Manage and mentor the events marketing team Stay up-to-date with event trends and forecast untapped event opportunities What we're looking for:  An experienced professional with at least 10 years of demonstrated experience in event logistics management, managing large scale events, including planning, execution, and reporting with knowledge, relationships and access to the marquee and five-star event locations. CMP preferred. Professional services or financial services industry expertise is a plus. A strong people manager with a minimum of 8 years of management experience who is also a coach who loves to mentor and develop employees. An excellent communicator with a keen attention to detail, organizational skills, social skills, project management skills, and ability to multi-task A proven track record of hitting deadlines, managing multiple projects concurrently with superb organization skills, yet able to flex with dynamically changing priorities An expert negotiator skilled at negotiating contracts with hotels and vendors to achieve the greatest value A demonstrated ability to be poised and effective during high-pressure situations; ability to anticipate issues and have (or quickly develop) contingency plans Ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed organization. Strength working well with a wide range of cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, C-level leaders, and other key stakeholders.
