Overview
i3 is seeking a Naval Aircrewman Operator (AWO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist a software development team in developing virtual training solutions.
The candidate must be able to translate aviation terminology, procedures, and operations for the Virtual Training Suite (VTS) development team.
The candidate would also assist with product progress reporting, scheduling, and customer (stakeholder) interface.
Pay Range $80k - $120k.
The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers, and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.
- Provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation, and software content validation.
- Candidate should be able to adapt to changing workloads quickly and collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices to ensure a high-quality standard.

Position Location : Orlando, FL; Huntsville, AL; Jacksonville, FL; Pensacola, FL; or Remote.
CONUS Travel required : Less than 50%
Qualifications
Required Experience :
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 8 years of applicable experience - or - an associate degree plus at least 12 years of relevant experience in the following NECs (G07A and G09A).
- Experience serving as an AWO Instructor within the fleet.
- Ability to obtain / maintain SECRET security clearance.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
Preferred Experience :
- Master Training Specialist
- ACTC Level 400 / 500 Instructor
- Familiarity with software development and 3D creation are a plus.
