Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our shipping department. This role is critical to ensuring that all products are shipped accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage and delegate tasks to a team, and a commitment to continuous improvement in shipping processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee and execute all daily shipping department tasks, including appropriately packaging, accurately labeling, and dispatching orders; coordinating pickups with shipping vendors; collaborating with the lab regarding daily shipments and emergency needs; and maintaining an organized and clean shipping environment.
• Team Leadership: Manage and delegate tasks to a team of pharmacy technicians, ensuring all team members are working efficiently and adhering to safety protocols.
• Compliance: Obtain a GA Pharmacy Technician License and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations regarding the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs, as well as access to patient information.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve shipping procedures and logistics, enhancing overall department efficiency.
• Special Projects: Lead and execute special projects related to shipping claims, tracking, and logistics.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve shipping procedures to increase accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Data Management: Utilize Excel and other software tools to track shipments, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Communication: Maintain clear and professional written and verbal communication with internal teams and external partners.
• Graphic Design: (Optional) Assist with the creation of shipping labels, packaging, and other materials, utilizing basic graphic design skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for prolonged periods during shifts.
• Mentorship: Receive direct mentorship from the business owner, gaining valuable insights and guidance to grow within the company.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• (Optional) Basic graphic design skills
• Licensing: Willingness to obtain a GA Pharmacy Technician License.
• Other Requirements: Must pass a background check.
