Conventional EDM Operator

We have several positions available for 2nd Shift:

Mon - Thurs. 4:30 pm - 3:00 am

Production Machine Operator

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for operating common machine shop equipment including, but limited to, fast hole machines, wire EDM machines, and conventional EDM machines after they set them up, or having been set up by a qualified employee. To produce production parts to required tolerances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complies with all Company safety, production, quality, and performance rules, procedures, and policies and follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
• Follows directions and produces required to produce the quality and quantity of parts required job according to specifications of the work order
• Works on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle.
• Must produce parts within required tolerances.
• Responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat and organized condition.
• Completes all required reports and signoffs on work orders handled and quantities produced. QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to accurately use and read precision measuring tools, e.g. micrometers and calipers

• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
• Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.52 - $25.28 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
