Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working warehouse associate to help us in our warehouse. The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, keeping a concise record of inventory, and accurately filling customer orders.
A successful warehouse associate is hard-working, organized and detail-oriented. You should be able to keep good records and keep track of incoming and outgoing stock to ensure inventory levels remain steady.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive trucks and unload fittings
- Stack fittings on racks
- Check in fittings and affix labels when applicable
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner
- Move materials/fittings off racks and package for shipment
- Fill orders /requests for materials, tools or other stock items
- Follow all safety rules
- Place fittings on pallets or shelves for distribution
- Identify damaged, loss or surplus of goods stored in the warehouse
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe warehouse daily (5S Activity)
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve warehousing procedures
- Carry out tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
- Team player with organizational skills
- Ability to lift or move 50 lbs
- High school diploma
- Experience with LTL scheduling is a plus!
Working Conditions
This position operates in a manufacturing facility where employees are exposed to various environmental factors, including but not limited to noise, dust, odors, and temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required in designated areas. The company prioritizes employee safety and maintains strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
