Job Opportunity : CNC Operator

A client of ours located in Tualatin is looking for a CNC Operator.

About the Company : Founded in 1991, this company has cornered the market in designing, manufacturing, and marketing detachable scope mounting systems.

Permanent hire chance post-contract hours.

Responsibilities :

• Loads parts onto fixtures and onto the 4th Axis CNC Machine
• Operates semi-automatic or automatic CNC machines, ensuring standard and repetitive sequences of operations
• Reads prints and checks part specifications using calipers for accuracy
• Consults with machine shop supervisor for first article inspection and maintains quality throughout production
• Inspects work pieces throughout the production run for out-of-tolerance machining
• Documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs for continuity among work shifts
• Conducts hand tool touch-ups on parts run such as deburring, sanding, chamfering, etc., as needed or instructed
• Completes production and quality logs daily
• Assembles machined parts to identify and guarantee function
• Uses calipers effectively to measure parts
• Performs secondary operations as instructed to prepare machined parts for downstream processing
• Utilizes hand deburring tools to prep parts for the next operation
• Maintains workstation in a safe and clean manner
• Performs effective start-up and shut-down procedures

Requirements :

• HS Diploma / GED required; vocational training preferred
• Minimum 2 years' machine operator experience
• Good vision for tasks like reading and inspecting parts
• Understands shift and machine schedules, good at problem-solving
• Willing to improve processes, communicates well
• Knows how to use hand tools and measure things
• Understands equipment controls and managing supplies
• Follows instructions and works well under pressure
• Can use a computer, can move around and lift at work

Schedule : Monday to Thursday, 3 : 30PM - 2AM, OT available

Pay : $18 - $20 / hr. DOE
